Pure Ceremonial Cacao Blocks – the purest form of this magical plant ! The dried beans are stone ground, and the grinding creates a constant low heat, which helps to melt and liquify the cacao into a paste (or mass/ liquor as it is often known) to be poured into shallow tubs for setting and export. Later broken down with my own hands, and packed for you, into hand sized easy to grate chunks, to melt into hot water to make a drink. You can add sweetener and any kind of milk if you like, but water and a small amount of sweetener is all you need. Don’t use boiling water. http://earthmonkey.nz/shop/raw-ceremonial-cacao-block/
Pure Ceremonial Cacao Powder – convenient powder for precise measurement, and in a variety of applications. The cacao powder is separated off from the pure cacao block, as a kind of by product of the cacao butter extraction process, and ground into a fine couverture grade powder – similar to the cocoa powder we grew up with. However it has also been processed under 50 degrees C, to maintain its raw qualities, unlike cocoa which is roasted at high temps. You can mix this into a drink the same as you would for cocoa / hot chocolate, by adding any milk /sweetener you love, and again don’t use boiling water. https://earthmonkey.nz/shop/raw-ceremonial-cacao-powder/
Ceremonial Cacao Drink – we’ve done all the hard yards for you, and expertly blended a precise balance of our pure cacao powder with coconut milk powder and coconut sugar – all ethically harvested and processed raw, and certified organic. Simply add a couple of teaspoons to hot water depending on the size of your vessel, and you are in hot cookie heaven ! https://earthmonkey.nz/shop/ceremonial-cacao-drink-mix/
Now, the important bit, for those of you still reading 🙂
By nature of its very purpose, cacao drinks should be prepared and enjoyed with intention. To get the most benefit from each cup, I urge you to literally direct your focused love, intention and gratitude into the drink as you prepare it.
For taking the drink alone I recommend a quiet place of contemplation – just a short break out from your day – to really connect with the cacao and let it help in opening your heart. For drinking in a group situation the possibilities are endless, you may wish to sit in a circle and share life experience or wisdom, or just give gratitude and sit in quiet contemplation, you may wish to connect via ceremony, meditation, dance or all 3 ! Cacao can also help with offering a deeper level of meditation. More on all that another time !
Note that our pure cacao products are not offered in retail shops like our finished chocolate products, we only sell these direct at events and via our online store.
Much love and gratitude, Ange x
